“Woman is Ubuntu” – Week of celebration of women
When? Between the 8th of March, which is International Women’s Day, and the 12th of March.
Where? Every night of the week, an event will take place at the French Alliance (155 Loop Street), except on Wednesday (6 Spin Street).
How? These events will cover different themes, thanks to different women and men from different countries, through different forms (talks, debates and film screening…)
For who? Everyone is welcome!
Why? Women’s Week aims to celebrate the economic, cultural, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. Yet let’s also be aware progress has slowed in many places across the world, so urgent action is needed to accelerate gender parity.
