Tourism : France ranked second in 2015 [fr]
France regained its touristic attractiveness and competitiveness.
According to the biennial report publied on Wednesday 6 of May by the World Economic Forum in Geneva, France has been ranked second, a much better performance than in 2013 (ranked 7th).
Among the 14 criteria taken into account to build this report, French performance has been especially praised in terms of cultural resources (ranked 2nd) and infrastructures (ranked 4th). Nonetheless, the price criteria is less favourable, France being considered too expensive by its tourists (ranked 139th).
For the first time in its history, Spain ranked first in 2015. Among the 10 first countries, there are 6 European countries.
