The French Navy rugby team on tour in Cape Town!

The RC Marine Nationale is mainly composed of high-level players taken on through the agreement signed between the French Ministry of Sports and the French Ministry of Defense in 2003.
This agreement aims to develop high-level sport and military sport within French armies.

The French Navy rugby team won the title of best military team for the 2013-2014 seasons. In fact, the navy has taken this award 7 times in the past 8 years (only being beaten once in 2010 by the Air Force). Furthermore, the RC Marine Nationale beat the Royal Navy (UK) (32-7).

Thus, the French Navy Rugby Team has been invited by their South African counterparts to play on the occasion of the French National Day (14th of July). Furthermore, on the 11th of July, the RC Marine Nationale will go head to head with the RFC Hamilton which is one of the oldest rugby clubs in South Africa.
