The Alliance Française du Cap is inviting you to participate to a discussion on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Young Women on the International Day of the Girl Child on October, 11th at 5pm!
Within the context of the launch of France’s strategy on its action overseas on challenges regarding population, sexual and reproductive health and rights, the Consulate General of France in Cape Town is organizing a discussion on the Best Practices to Promote Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Young Women which will take place on the International Day of the Girl Child on October, 11th.
The Alliance Française will be hosting Lucinda Evans, director of the NGOPhilisa Abafazi Bethu (in Xhosa “Heal our Women”) who has accepted to be the moderator of the debate between three speakers:
Jody-Lee Fredericks from the Women’s Legal Centre
Kerryn Rehse from NGOMOSAIC
Patsy de Lora from NGO Partners in Sexual Health
The debate will start after the screening of a short documentary on teenage pregnancy followed by a testimony. We will then have an open floor debate.
The doors will open at 5pm and a welcome cocktail will be offered. Come and take part to this essential discussion!
