French Tech Cape Town and Cap 40’s Next Event, Wednesday 13th July: Lessons learned by a European building a tech business in South Africa
The French Tech Cape Town and Cap 40 are inviting you to their business conference which will be held Wednesday 13th July from 5:45pm to 7:45pm, at Alliance Française du Cap (155 Loop Street).
Charlie Stewart is CEO of multi-award winning digital marketing agency Rogerwilco. His book Business-to-Business Marketing: a step by step guide was published by Penguin Random House earlier this year.
He grew up in the Highlands of Scotland and studied Theology and Philosophy at the University of St Andrews. Realising he had no interest in joining the Church after he graduated but with no idea what to do with his degree, Charlie spent a year living in France where he worked in bars, on building sites and in boat yards. After the mist cleared, he found himself in London where embarked on a career in media relations.
He moved to South Africa in 2003 setting up and exiting a number of ventures before establishing Rogerwilco in 2008 with his current business partner – its clients include The World Economic Forum, Sanlam, Tiger Brands, the United Nations and the Walt Disney Company.
In his presentation he will talk about the lessons he has learned as a European building a tech business in South Africa and he’ll offer insights from his book that could help tech companies better market themselves to key customers – key among these will be to examine how the internet has changed the way in which businesses buy from each other and how we can use this to our advantage to generate sales and outperform our competitors.
Conference followed by a free cocktail offered by our sponsor Top12Wine.
